Like the magic powers of the Unicorn, the Youth Center will attempt to list safe links for the young children, youth and a few spicey links for the parents and adults. Special sections on creation and programming HTML, web (WWW) pages, hints, tips and training as well as graphics and clip art. Don't forget we have a few software programs and a few computers that have been purchased and are free for the kids use.
The Youth Center is a non-profit 501(c) organization, incorporated in the State of Delaware. We are a full member of the Chamber of Commerce. We have five youth and five adults on our Board of Directors. We DO NOT beg for donations, however we can give tax-exempt certificates when neccesary. We DO NOT submit applications for Federal, State, or local grants since the kids must be identified, labeled, and taged as abused, malested, druggies, criminals or have mental problems. We feel it is much better to give up these funds than to put an additional burden of a tag on any kid.
Some-how, people have forgotten that there are still many devoted parents that are working their fingers to the bone to give their kids things. And some have forgotten about the every day kids, that go to school, day in and day out... work hard... never get in trouble. The Youth Center is the place for these good kids.
This inter-net connection is fully supported and paid for with lunch money, allowances, and summer jobs by the kids in Kent County Delaware.
Kids, Use a computer FREE in your home.
Free desk and roller chair Send a note to Rasberry if you would like a free desk and a roller chair. These desks are full size office desk and most are in like new conditions. We have 32 of them and one is yours for the asking.
Want to use a Free InterNet Connection kids? Well, we have purchased a Commerical account with unlimited time from one of our service provider. This is not a freebie, donated or discounted account. This is a commerical account fully paid for by the Youth Center. We have worked out the security so kids can use this account. Kids may use the account to access the InterNet free of charge. Unfortunatly we got side-tracked on another project and have only one account available now. Your use of the account will depend on the number of request we have at the time of use (Only one person at a time can use the account). Let us know if you know of a youth that might be interested in the using the account.
InterNet Classes: Calendar We are short on hand-outs/info sheets for the classes at this time, so they will consist primary of cruszing the net.

And last, but not least: We are using the shareware version of Sambar http server for our webpages and a registered copy of Serv_U as our ftp server. Hopefuly we will be able to upgrade to a registered Pro version of the server sometime this spring when we start making money selling garden plants.
